I'm sorry to see the maker of such classic Mac software as Maelstrom, Snapz Pro and WireTap Studio is no longer around, but glad to see that Easy Envelopes is still kicking. Of course, the ability to search for an address from your contacts or print an envelope for everyone in a group is there too. It seamlessly generates an envelope from addresses on my clipboard and prints barcodes as part of the address.
I'm very pleasantly surprised that so far things are working fine on my 2021 iMac. But I held my breath and clicked the Buy button. I was put off by the fact that EasyEnvelopes hasn't been updated in years, Ambrosia's website is no longer on-line, and the number of negative reviews.
I downloaded a trial of the Labelist, but was met with constant crashes whenever I tried to update anything. I'd looked at the successor to L&A, Swift Publisher, but it was a generic "desktop publishing" app and a mess for envelope printing. Now that I've moved to an M1 based Mac that was no longer an option and I had to find something else to replace L&A.
L&A never moved to 64 bit and stopped working with Catalina, but I ran it in a Mojave virtual machine.
